Fog Delay

KHSD process for Fog Delays 

KHSD will make all efforts to call a delay no later than 5:45 A.M., in order to meet the 6:00 A.M. news report.  If a delay (2 hours) is deemed necessary, please note the following:

• Delays will impact ALL high schools in the Greater Bakersfield area
• Delays CANNOT be called for individual school sites
• Parents and students SHALL be informed that:
• schools will operate on a regular schedule unless otherwise notified
• they should follow local radio or television stations when weather conditions indicate the possibility of a school delay
• they SHALL NOT CALL radio or television stations, the California Highway Patrol or the Transportation Department
