EBHS Registration and Enrollment Information

Online Registration OPENS Monday, April 19, 2021

In-Person Registration Support will be available from Monday, April 19-Thursday, April 22
from 1:30-3:30 PM in the Quincy Street parking lot

WELCOME CLASS OF 2025!

It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to our East Bakersfield High School FAMILY.  Since 1938, we have been a school rich in tradition and legacy, where students are successful in the classroom and on the athletic field. This is where you will create some of your best memories by getting involved in any of the many sports, clubs and activities that we offer. We look forward to getting to know you.

Are you ready to register? Please complete both steps to the registration process so we can get the most accurate information for your incoming freshman. Currently, you can only enroll at your school of residence.  If you will be attending EBHS on Open Enrollment or an approved Intra-District Transfer, you will need to enroll at your home site.

PART 1: Registration


Please review the steps below for completing your registration online. If you need additional support, refer to the how-to guides and videos. If you encounter an error or have a question while completing the form, you can call the school at 661-871-7221, email
studentsupport@kernhigh.org, or call 1-833-827-2855 (Weekdays from 8 AM-4 PM)

STEP 1: ParentVUE Activation 

If you have not activated your Parent Vue account first, please start here. Open website https://staffconnect.kernhigh.org/pxp2_oen_login.aspx  to activate your account.

New Account Instructions:
  • Click “New Account” Icon
  • You must accept the Privacy Statement to continue to Step 2
  • Fill out all boxes in Step 2. Be sure to type in the code at the bottom of Step 2 to continue
  • Check your email you used in Step 2 to be able to continue to Step 3. An email will be sent to you from connect@kernhigh.org. Click the link in email to complete activation of your account.
  • In Step 3 you will need to create a password, with at least 6 digits; click on Save & Continue.

STEP 2: Link ParentVUE with Existing Student Record 

The EBHS Registrar will need to link your new ParentVue account with your student’s record; please complete the Incoming Student Registration link and wait for the Registrar to email you before starting the Registration process. (Due to high volume of online registration requests, there could be a delay to receive email, so check your email regularly).

STEP 3: Begin the Registration Process

Once your account has been linked,, you must log in to your new ParentVUE account to continue the registration process. Once there, follow the steps below to complete registration.

  • Click the Begin New Registration button. If you’ve previously started an online enrollment, you can select either Resume Registration or Start Over.
  • After viewing the Superintendent’s Message and Introduction information screens, you’ll be required to create an electronic signature. Please type your name here.
  • You will be led through each information screen. Note that some fields are mandatory, and those fields are marked with a red asterisk.

Proof of Residency and Additional Documents Requirement

You will be required to provide certain documents, including electronic proof of residency, before your registration is completed. 

  • Parent/Guardian Official Photo ID
  • Court Documents for Parents/Guardians (if applicable)
  • Water, Gas, and/or Electric bill with the current address (within 60 days)*

*If bill statements are under someone else’s name, we will need a Share Residence Form, two forms of address verification for parent (no older than 60 days). Examples include bank statement, change of address with Post Office or DMV, mail from government assistance/Medi-Cal/Social Security office, cell phone bill, credit card statement. Secondary Address Verifications may not be handwritten. We will also need primary account holder’s ID and current Gas, Water, or Electric bill.
All proof of residence must be dated within the last 60 days.

PART 2: Freshman Interest Survey

Once you have completed registration, please navigate to the link below to complete our Freshman Interest Survey.
