Principal's Message

Principal's Message

Welcome to East Bakersfield High School (EBHS), Home of Scholars and Champions! I am Carla Stallworth, and I am honored to serve as the Principal of East Bakersfield High. I am excited to welcome students back to the 2023-2024 on Wednesday, August 16, 2022! East Bakersfield High School has a long tradition of excellence, and we believe that everyone who is a part of our past and present defines our future as the BLADE FAMILY. Our East Bakersfield expectations define what it means to be a member of the Blade FAMILY: Focus, Attitude, Mentorship, Integrity, Legacy, and You.

The mission of EBHS is to provide and sustain a respectful environment that ensures every member of the school community attains a high level of personal and academic achievement in college and career readiness, as well as providing a comprehensive system of support which includes parents and the surrounding community.  You will see this mission being exemplified in the classroom, the hallways, the offices, the Parent Center, the athletic field/court, and all other areas of our school. We want all of our students to participate in classes, programs, and experiences to develop and demonstrate skills in critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, and community building.

I encourage each and every one of our parents and guardians to be active members of our school community- through our booster programs, School Site Council, ELAC, and the offerings of the Parent Center. Follow us on Twitter at @EastHighBlades if your data plan allows. If you have any questions or need support in any way, please feel free to reach out to the school, and you will be directed to the best person who can help you.

East Bakersfield High School is an amazing school community filled with supportive and dedicated teachers, counselors, and support staff who LOVE working here and working with our Blade FAMILY students!
